With this writing, we would like to inform you about the official annulation of the BTCC-event at 5-6-7 th of June 2020 in the Heldenpark in Eeklo.
With the organizing committee of the Belgian Tree Climbing Championship for Arborists, in dialogue with the Executive board of B.A.As. (Belgian Arborist Associations), we made this decision. For us, health and the wellbeing of all our volunteers, climbers and everybody who is involved from near and far (representatives from the host city, exhibitors, musical entertainers, suppliers for the event, etc…) has our priority.
When we started organizing the 25th edition of the Belgian Tree Climbing Championship for Arborists last summer, the world still had its normal rhythm. COVID 19 however is currently turning our world and our daily life upside down. The whole society has to get used to this new situation. The soft-lockdown is unknown for every one of us, with lots of challenges. How long ‘social distancing’ will be needed is currently undefined. Let’s all of us make the best of it and for everybody’s sake, follow the directions to our very best. This will be the only way to stand the spread of the COVID 19 virus in a reasonable time span.
The situation is dynamic and needs our full attention.
With reservation, we took the decision to postpone our event to the first weekend of June 2021 (4 -5-6 th of June 2021) and with high probability on the same location.
